Owing to the mobile scanner, the customs officers, in a joint operation with the members of the MoIA, during a subsequent control near the toll gate Bubanj-Potok, prevented an attempt to smuggle 180,000 pieces of cigarettes.

Yesterday evening around 10 p.m. during an extraordinary control of the section of the motorway Е-75 between Vladičin Han and Leskovac, near the Doljevac tollgate, the customs officers seized 200 kilograms of fine-cut tobacco of foreign origin.

Owing to the joint operations of the customs officers and border police, at the border crossing point Preševo on February 6, 2012 the attempt of four Afghan citizens to illegally cross the border was thwarted.
